RAAAAAAGE.

I go through the entire weekend doing intensive applique, and my machine was a DREAM! Very few issues, no snapping, just plain old button hole stitch and go.

Today I am doing some touch ups to my collar, as I had to alter it a bit. The thread is snapping

I don’t know why. I am using the same bobbin, the same type of thread, the same fabric (maybe SLIGHTLY thicker, but I mean SLIGHT. SLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT.) This is why I never fucking did applique - I would have SO many issues like this and I would just want to MURDER EVERYTHING. And this time went SO well, I assumed it was because I used Yaexrae’s tutorial (which I DO think helped a ton!) But ARGGGHHH I have no fucking clue what my machine’s issue is.

I have been sewing on my machine for…7 or 8 years now, good god. It has gotten me through many costumes, even though it is pretty basic. But maybe it is time for an upgrade :\

What is this? I feel good about my upcoming cosplays, my body, the upcoming convention, life in general, AND it’s a Tuesday?

….this obviously means someone is going to die because whenever I feel this good it never lasts long.

But yeah I’m actually feeling pretty good (knock on wood) about how my Dolorosa is coming out. I’ve also made the decision to leave Madoka Cro and Frodo at home. MaCro because I don’t have the boots and socks as well as needing to make the cape, Frodo because the friend I was going to wear it with isn’t bringing Sam, and that 6 yards of real wool cape is a LOT to haul.

So my line up for Anime Boston is:
- Default Aranea (I’m pulling this out last minute :X But I should be okay!)
- Dolorosa
- Modcloth blue and white dress for Barstuck
- Prom dress Aranea (QUEEN IN THE NORTH) for the ball
-MIGHT bring something for Monday Shenanigans with my NIGHT’S WATCH XD (we shall see chilling out is also good.)

Two costumes, two pretty dresses, a not killer amount to pack, good friends coming with, and a good time ahead of me.
