DUALSCAR BECAUSE THE FANART IS FUCKING HOT.

Lol, but seriously…My love affair with the Homestuck ancestors is very much fandom driven. After all, we have so little to go with in canon. But I’ve always like the idea of Dualscar. Eridan is one of my favorite kid trolls, but his biggest weakness in my opinion was a lack of maturity. And Dualscar is older and lived longer than Eridan did. I really could see him being a cooler, less awkward version of Eridan, but at the same time still having that temper that drove him to kill the Dolorosa and hurt Mindfang when he couldn’t get what he wanted. His unrequited red feelings for Mindfang also play at my heart strings.

There is a lot of fandom potential for his character, and I’ve explored it a great deal, loving what I’ve found. It’s made me really fond of him, and I always will enjoy him, even if the canon goes in a different direction.

Mindfang, of course, is a close second, and if I have to remove all my headcanon/rp/fic/fanart shenanigans, she would be my strictly based on canon favorite. After all, we get to know her like we don’t really get to know any of the others. I love how resourceful she is in a tough situation, and GOD DAMN IT SHE IS A PIRATE. I FUCKING LOVE PIRATES. WHO DOESN’T?

Anyway, yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if canon goes in a direction different from my headcanons…but that is still where I stand!
